Loyola University Chicago invites applications from enthusiastic, self-motivated librarians with a strong public services commitment to join our team of reference/subject specialists. This position will serve as subject specialist and liaison to the Department of Modern Languages, Department of Classical Studies, and the Honors program. Subject Specialist Librarians are responsible for collection development, specialized reference services, instruction, and outreach to faculty and students in assigned subject areas.

The successful candidate will also take a leading role in coordinating first year information literacy instruction which includes the freshman writing program, outreach to student advising, and assessment. In addition, this position participates in the activities of the Reference Department, including bibliographic instruction, virtual reference, reference desk service, and research consultations.
