If you file Chapter 13 Bankruptcy Can they take your income tax ...

I have filed chapter 13 bankruptcy and I have not filed my income taxes yet. I have been told that the bankruptcy court can take your refund if you have one due to you. is that true?

The way I understand it is that whatever you have completely written off will be considered income for you. This means that you will have to pay taxes on these just as if you received money as income.

I don't know about now but about 10 years ago I filed bankruptcy and I kept all of my refund.

I think so ? plus, one of the things bankruptcy wont erase is tax liability.
