In an upset victory on Tuesday, Democrat Kathy Hochul won a congressional seat in N.Y.'s 26th district, which has 30,000 more Republicans than Democrats. Hochul beat Republican Jane Corwin after framing the vote as a referendum on the GOP's Medicare reform plan. Host Michel Martin speaks with Hochul about her victory and what she hopes to accomplish upon taking office.

Sporting KC routs Revolution, clinches berth in U.S. Open Cup
Sporting Kansas City hopes that the rest of its home games unfold like Wednesday night's U.S. Open Cup play-in match did.
SKC routed the New England Revolution, 5-0, at the Blue Valley District Athletic Center in Overland Park, Kan., to clinch Major League Soccer's final berth in the Open Cup field of 40.
Chance Myers scored twice in the opening 19 minutes, C.J. Sapong also scored twice and Aurelien Collin added a tally to account for the scoring on a rainy night.
New England fielded an exclusively reserve lineup, while SKC coach Peter Vermes called on a mix of reserves and starters to get the job done. Designated Player Omar Bravo started, Ryan Smith and Kei Kamara came off the bench and Teal Bunbury sat out, as SKC enjoyed success in its first home match of the season. It's real home stadium, Livestrong Sporting Park, is slated to open on June 9.
SKC joins the Chicago Fire, Los Angeles Galaxy, Real Salt Lake, Seattle Sounders, FC Dallas, New York Red Bulls and Columbus Crew as MLS teams that will get a bye to the Open Cup's Round of 16.

Yesterday, anonymous sources said that El Goog and Sprint would debut a new NFC payment system on May 26th -- otherwise known as tomorrow. Today, a leak allegedly from The Container Store appears to have spilled the beans on the moniker for Mountain View's mobile money method: Google Wallet. Not the most creative cognomen, but at least it sums up the service succinctly. Still, it's no Ice Cream Sandwich, but we'll find out how it tastes live at tomorrow's event.Update: Eagle-eyed reader Steve pointed out that looking up the WHOIS info for googlewallet.com does indeed lead you to Mountain View, though this was created way back in 2005. You may recall that Google Checkout was initially known as Google Wallet, as reminded by InformationWeek, but we just noticed that the URL is now plain dead instead of taking us to a Google error page, as it did minutes ago. Very intriguing.

Watch HBO's 'Curb Your Enthusiasm' Season 8 Trailer
Curb Your Enthusiasm returns July 10, and HBO has just released the trailer for the comedy series' eighth season.
Larry David is back, and his character is just as socially inept and politically incorrect as ever.
In fact, Jeff (Jeff Garlin) calls Larry a "social assassin" at one point.
Larry's response? "I guess I am in a way."
Funkhouser (Bob Einstein) puts it more bluntly: "You are a colossal prick."
Among the guest stars featured in the trailer are Michael J. Fox, actor-comedian Paul F. Tompkins and Mad Men's Rich Sommer.
